Margaret Bobb is a colorist born and reared in the vibrant arts community of New Orleans, LA. She has enjoyed living in Boulder County, Colorado for over 20 years. In 2008, she quit her day job to concentrate on pursuing her art after she received a diagnosis of stage 4 ovarian cancer in 2007. Margaret says, "My goal in art is to evoke emotions of joy, peace and harmony to people as they view my paintings. Realism used to be very important to me. However, as I continue in my art journey, I have found that my focus has changed from recording life to enjoying the sheer act of pushing, pulling or dragging colorful acrylics, watercolors, inks or oils onto a surface. I am a child of God, created in His image, so I love to create! There is too much ugliness in the world, so I want to bring beauty to people. Much of my art is about color relationships and how light caresses colors. At this time, I am concentrating on producing paintings in which the subject matter is important to me personally. Art has been part of my healing process, and I have found that it speaks to people on so many different levels. It enhances our lives. It gives us something to ponder on. I hope my art speaks to you." MBobb has garnered several awards for her work. Her paintings are enjoyed in both private and corporate collections.

Margaret was a member of Lillian's Club Tuesday for 8 years. Margaret has also taken workshops from the likes of Keith Bond and Ken Elliot. M Bobb is also a veteran of the US Air Force from the Lebanon/Grenada era of the Cold War. She has enjoyed traveling overseas, as well as extensively throughout the United States. Therefore, she paints exclusively from her own reference photos or from life.

Presently, she is an active member of the Longmont Artists' Guild and the Longmont Council of the Arts. Margaret maintains a studio of her own besides being a member of Studio 21, which is located in Longmont, Colorado in Boulder County. Studio 21 is run by Tisha Wood and includes most of the painters from Lillian Kennedy's Club Tuesday.

M Bobb's heart is divided between New Orleans, the city she grew up in, and also the American Southwest where she has resided and traveled in over the past 20 plus years.

In 2008, she quit her day job to concentrate on pursuing her art after she received a diagnosis of stage 4 ovarian cancer in 2007. She refused chemo. She is using alternative methods of healing and also relies on her faith in God.
